When we think of uncovering our shadow self and how its filled with all parts of ourselves that we don't want to accept then we should compare that process to slicing an apple. We first have a skin that doesn't really have a great taste, but its good for us (external norms). As we slice deeper, the apple gets sweeter (uncovering our true potential), but then we strike a core that is bitter and can't be eaten, but it doesn't necessarily go away (shadow self). We think to throw the apple's core away because all that is good is gone. So we think....but then we have to look deeper into the core and realize that its actually the best part. It is actually vital to look at those parts of ourselves.
The core has seeds inside of it that can plant new life. Just like we have parts of ourselves that we don't like, but can turn into positive qualities. We can heal from situations and gain a better understanding of life and our purpose. So, instead of throwing the apple core away, we should pick those seeds out of it and grow new apples. Just like we shouldn't hide those parts of ourselves or bury the past because in those pains lies healing. Healing is beautiful and lead to a better life; just as a planted apple seed leads to a sweet sliced piece of apple. The beauty of both sliced apples and peace within is that both can be shared with many people all at once.
"Modesty is the heartbeat of contentment."
As you continue on your journey of enlightenment there is one thing that you should continuously seek and that is the "Spirit's Embodiment of Positive Living" . One way is modesty in which is truly important because it shows gratitude for all blessings. When gratitude is shown it leads to a life of contentment. We shouldn't want for more than we seek if that in which we seek gives us less. That is to say, we shouldn't strive for material possessions wholeheartedly. We must tend to the spiritual, emotional, and mental body mostly. It is what we do to ourselves that reflects the world.
It is such a saddened life to long for desires that only holds momentary happiness. It is such a miserable way of living to look down upon others because the ego is bruised. We must remember that we are no further away from homelessness than the man who has been homeless for years. Life's circumstances can change in the blink of an eye and we can be on the receiving end of a give and take exchange at any time. When I see a homeless person I tend to give to them because I would want the same done for me.
Modesty also has its share in being humble. Now, humbleness is like a fine diamond in my opinion. It doesn't show that you are weak, but instead shows you have strength in character. It is natural to judge strength from a physical standpoint, but that isn't the only type of strength one can possess. Some are intellectually strong, spiritually strong, while others can be emotionally strong, or even a combination of strengths. On your journey you will find out what works best for you. Still it is important to remain humble because people are busier now and it really is an act of kindness to stop and give someone a little of your time. So when a person really goes out of their way for you it is wise to be thankful.
We should also not close ourselves off from love. Love likes to play hide and seek and our expectations seems to always be the seeker. So we get hurt in life and we hate love. We say love is the one to blame when it is not. Love is what gives us life. We should not look to love as our savior though. Love is who we are and we are love. Share good love with others and it will come back to you. It isn't easy to live this way entirely because the ego doesn't like this way of living.
Still it doesn't hurt to give it a try. When you get really in tuned to your soul it will be easier to put your ego in place or even recognize when it wants to be a spoiled brat. The human experience is amazing because it is so complex. It is equally humorous though because it is only through complexity that we learn to live a simple life.
The Spirit's Embodiment of Positive Living
I stand before you as an individual with a story. A person who is beyond a breath, a dollar, and a dream. I am a soul that is perfectly created with a divine purpose on this precious, yet fragile planet. My mind is as complex as a puzzle with changing, but perfectly fitted pieces. I stand here in front of you today as no longer a “me”, but an “I”. The power of the word “I” outweighs the power of the word “me” because it screams purpose and sincere individuality. Society now is based on individuality, but that is not what is being shown.
I vowed on my life path to always spread good karma and let my story be one of inspiration and not defeat. For years, I held my voice back and expressed myself only within my comfort zone. By doing so, I lost many opportunities in life, but rest be assured that I gained something more valuable. Material is not what is to be strived for, but an incentive for your hard work. Through the hardships you are to gain wisdom and that is priceless. We are all here to learn something that can help another along the way.
It is time that we all wake up to our true purpose or calling in life and fulfill our missions. So many times people are caught up in the small issues and blind sighted to the bigger plan. Each and every one of us are our own form of greatness and meant to let our greatness shine. If we were born with perfection then we would die at birth. It would be no need of living because you are already of greatness. You wouldn’t need to experience life for all that it is worth because you are fully enlightened and nothing would hold meaning to you.
How many of us really know who we are? Or are we so focused on who we should be? And by who standards are we living up to? Take a moment and answer these questions. It is as vital as oxygen to take a journey within whether it be by meditation or contemplation. Yes, life is demanding, but it will be there when you get back, I promise. Take some time and figure out what you really want.
I like to express to people that the best way to find yourself is through a hobby. When you are doing something that you love it seems to quiet the ego and let your soul out. Your soul is the authentic form of your identity that can open you up to the world inside and out. For those of you who aren’t a spiritualist or a religious person then I would say open up to the inner child that is less concerned with outside activities. You’ll be surprised of what you can find for the soul or the inner child holds an abundance of jewels that we let out in authentic self- expressions.
The more you are exposed to in life, the deeper life becomes to you. It is fine to change life’s paths in order to get to where you want to be in life. Every situation holds a gift that will come in handy one day in life. It doesn't all have to make sense in the moment. We don't live for a moment essentially, but we should live in the moment essentially. The number one killer in the world in my opinion is expectations that don’t go as planned.
That might sound mind boggling, but follow me on this one and it will all make sense. Expectations are what you perceive to be the outcome of a situation before it happens. It can be good or bad expectations, but let’s focus on the bad expectations. When things don’t go right immediately people get upset and irrational emotions leads to bad decisions. In which could, in the worst case scenario derail us from our true path. I hope that I have opened up your minds by this point and enlightened you on ways to lead a more fulfilling life. Happiness is like a sunny day that comes and go, but inner peace is like a stone that can set in place for a lifetime.
You must find inner peace along this journey and continue to align with your beliefs. Let the past serve you as the valuable teacher it was and move on to another step into your own form of greatness. You will never escape mistakes and you shouldn't try to. If it is meant to serve your higher good then welcome the struggle with open arms because it is only a phase. It can become a lifestyle if you choose to stay in the situation. Learn to let go and let life. Yes, you must have your hands on the reins of life, but if you steer it into the proper course then rest assured it is okay to let go and tune into the “I” and leave the “me” behind.
Last night, I lit a blue candle and an incense. I decided to check in with my pendulum for some answers. Before so, I surrounded myself with white light and blessed my question in a high regard of positivity. I started to ask it questions when I noticed a presence in the room. It was a warm presence that raised the hairs on my arms and head. That made me ask the pendulum what kind of presence it was. It was due to the fact that I noticed a slight difference in swing.
It was as if something was controlling the swing. At first I was scared of the presence and thought it might be a negative entity, but that wasn't the case. I recognized that negative feeling as fear. My room was blessed with white sage and prayer so it definitely couldn't be negative. Once I relaxed and realized it was a good energy it identified itself as a spirit guide. The flutter of joy that went through my heart when I realized I was actually communicating with my spirit guide was beyond words.
So I continued to ask it questions as we communicated through my pendulum. I asked it to swing my pendulum to the left to show me that it was actually a spirit guide and lo behold it sure did. It told me that it has been with me all my life and that it was making it self known because it has to lead me to a particular blessing. Suddenly, my third eye started to tingle and I knew that it was a message for me. I'll be honest by saying that I have been avoiding meditation because I know that my gifts are enhancing and I'm a little afraid of them. By interacting with my spirit guide it reassured me that I'm going to be okay.
It told me that it was sent by the Higher Power and is only meant to bring me good blessings and protection. The ultimate answer that was given to me was that the Higher Power was happy with me. What could be better than that? It showed me how much harder I am on myself than the universe. That I'm on my right path and will continue on that path because I have little helpers to guide me. I'm use to feeling angelic presences, but this is even better. How good it feels to know that you are never alone when you have the universe's watchers and love in your heart.
"There are two beings of light and love that are searching for each other in order to illuminate the world with their divine love connection."
We are all searching for our "soul mates" or some form of companionship that will make us complete. Intimate love is one of the most beautiful things to experience in life. Even so, you shouldn't look for another to complete you because in order to be loved, you have to love yourself FIRST. When you don't love yourself properly and look for it in others, you often settle for less than what you deserve.
I'm sitting at my computer and thinking about my journey in love and where it's headed right now. Ever since I started my spiritual journey I remember talking to the Higher Power about what I want in a mate. It came to be that way after a string of heartbreaks. I just got fed up with dubious characters and total jerks. I couldn't understand why those things were happening to me. I had good intentions and was on the road to a better life. So why would the universe continuously allow me to get hurt?
Well, it took me a couple of years to figure that one out. I remember in 2011, I decided to devote the entire year to getting to know me. It had to be a better way to attract the love I was seeking. See, when you ask for love you can't expect someone to make up the qualities that you lack. I believe in the law of attraction and you have to be the lover that you want in your life. Otherwise, your gonna end up with the same loser in different bodies.
Though I was hurt ample times by those guys it was because I allowed those guys to hurt me by not loving me fully. I had to figure out who I was and then go and seek the love that I deserved. When your going through heartbreaks it's not easy to see the positive, but once you heal and look back you can laugh. You laugh at how "in love" you were with someone who if you were in your right mind wouldn't even look at. I was spared many times because no matter what I didn't believe in giving my body to anyone.
I was able to walk away free for the most part. Not everyone is so lucky all the time including myself. It takes time for you to build your confidence up to the point that your not gonna take anymore setbacks. That was the state that I achieved in 2011. I started doing things that I liked including my "movie night" where I would grab some tea, a blanket, and a romance flick all by myself. It was the "me time" that made me feel good about myself. I also hung out with friends and did things. I read up on ways to attract guys and I also prayed.
I wrote a list of all the qualities that I wanted in a man. I did that previously in my younger years, but it had to be revised A LOT! At times, I did get my moments of loneliness, but my best friend and I kept each other going. We would talk about the things we would do with our lovers etc. It kept the hope for love in our hearts. The road to a good mate doesn't have to be done alone.
The beauty of love finding you is that you don't know how it is going to find you, so you have to be out and open. The biggest lesson I had to learn was that in order to get love, you have to stop looking for love. Trust me, it really works. I did the dating sites for awhile and my current guy is off of a site, but he found ME. He hit up my page on a popular dating site at a time when I wasn't even serious about love. In a way the Universe guided me to him. He was on a site that I vowed to never go back to because the guys I met off of there where jerks with the exception of one prior to him.
I felt I was guided to him because every time I would get on the internet my web browser would direct me to that site or I would see an ad for that site. I got fed up with it so I decided one late night to make a profile. I said, I would make it perfect with the right words and it would be equally comical because its no one on here for me. I got messages from guys, but I wasn't really interested in any of them. I remember waking up New Year's day of 2012 to my guy's message. It was an intriguing message and I felt compelled to reply.
At first, it was a rocky start of online communication. We didn't really kick things in motion until February of last year. We met in March of last year and been together ever since. I laughed at it because I didn't expect it to work. It took me awhile to get use to him because I had became this happily loner and wasn't really up for sharing my space. I also didn't realize how much inner resentment I had stored in my heart.
It was like I was guarded for a long while. Since him and I been together it has been nothing, but inner healing for the both of us. We both came from a string of bad lovers that left us cautious. I truly feel that we were both sent to each other to clear each other's karma. Usually, with karmic soul connections eventually the ties have to be severed. We have talked about that vaguely in the past. I mean who really wants to talk about a supposed inevitable breakup while your in love?
I did some reading on karmic soul connections and twin flame connections because of it. The highest form of love between two humans is the twin flame love connection. Its not a typical romantic relationship because its love is a godly love. It has the components of a romantic relationship, but is only brought together when two people have reached their highest purpose in life. It's rare, but some people are blessed to have met their twin flame in this lifetime.
It's not the easiest love because it is hard to understand. It's like being pulled out of everything you've ever been taught about love. There is often the dance between the runner and the chaser. The chaser is the one who recognizes the twin flame connection and tries to pursue the relationship. The runner is one who recognizes it, but is scared or doesn't understand the connection and tries to avoid the bonding. The chaser is more awakened to their purpose in this lifetime and eventually gets to a point after questioning their motives, self, a host of other things, and eventually lets the runner go. Allowing the runner time to pursue their life's purpose and eventually returns back to the connection.
There is something called free-will and you can't make someone be with you. While in this dance you have to learn unconditional love because that is what the twin flame connection is based on. If one or the other is in a committed relationship then that relationship has to be respected. So I say that to say that you won't always get your twin flame connection, but you can find a soulmate connection that is good. If your in a loving relationship that makes you happy then I advise you to stay in that relationship and cultivate that love.
Now a karmic soul connection on the other hand is one that you are in to help you heal. It is said to be one that isn't meant to last a long time because you are only with each other to heal past karma and move on to the love that the universe has for you. Can you imagine being with your one true love and full of baggage? Well, that's the purpose of a karmic soul connection to teach you all about love and yourself. It's one that you should end while one good terms because it can turn ugly and you end up resenting you mate or vice versa. I believe people cling too much to comfort or the fear of letting go.
So the thought of letting someone go just cringes them and they hold on even tighter to the person. I've learned not to do that anymore. I love as long as I'm allowed to love, but I do understand that the heart grows and so does the mind. I understand that not everyone you meet is meant to stay in your life forever. We are all here to teach each other love. I couldn't of done it without the jerks and assholes. Applause to them!
I am happy in my relationship, but I believe in enjoying each day so it can lead to another one. At the same time, I don't believe in holding too tight to the relationship either. I believe in building it to be the best that it can be though. It may sound like a nonchalant attitude towards it-- let me reassure you that it's not. Allow me to clear it up by saying that my partner and I are constantly trying to find ways to build each other into the best we can be. We acknowledge that we may or may not be together forever, but not gonna let that stop us from loving each other as long as we can.
He is not only my lover, but a cool dude and no matter what happens we have a strong friendship that can't be broken by no one other than us. We are like two adolescents on the playground when we are together just full of laughter and smiles. It's been that day since the first time we talked on the phone. I adore his love for me and he is delighted in my joy for him. It may seem like I went on a personal love trip, but I believe my personal experience can help you to relate. It shows my experience and wisdom to better help you on your journey to love.
If you took anything away from this article I hope it would be to love yourself first. Embrace the heart breaks because they were lessons in disguise. Remember to not get stuck up in the past. Above all else, be the love you seek. As well as to create your list of qualities and don't be afraid to be picky. In love you have a given right to be stingy and picky. This is someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Now, you can be flexible at will with some things, but core values are something you shouldn't bend for any one. For example, don't date an atheist if you asked God for a Christian just because the atheist is funny. You will live to regret that choice in the future because what feels good today may not feel good twenty years later. Last, but not least try to have as much fun as you can on this journey of love. The more you laugh the better your chances of finding Mrs. or Mr. Right. Every person you meet isn't the one your meant to be with, but it's one step closer to the one you are truly meant to be with. Trust in the universe that every heartbreak will be mended and the right one will come along.
You have your entire life to be loved so allow all the love you can inside your heart. The most important thing to do is to pray for the universe to lead you to that divine connection that the Higher Power has blessed in his name for you. Until love finds you it's healthy to keep that love light on in your heart chakra by relishing in little things. There is all kinds of love like family love, pet love, and friendship that keeps the heart open. By doing some of the things I've shared here with you, it will definitely show the universe that you are open and ready, and watch the potential candidates pour in, but this time you have the lessons from you past loves to weed out the diamonds from the rough.

Over the past years, I have experienced different things on my spiritual journey. In the beginning, I would not have imagined myself as myself. I often anxiously awaited the gifts that were hidden inside of me to explode into a life where I could use them as a norm. It was exciting to think of being able to connect with the source. Now, I love feeling the presence of my angels or seeing images of Godly displays. Over the last couple of months, I have been delving deeper into connecting with source. In my room lies an altar in which I use to pray and guide me in meditations.
I pull from different religions, but now I'm in a state where I pull from none. I respect all points of view that point to light and believe they all have a purpose. I am not one to partake in holy debates or wars. I believe in respecting your choice and seeing all those who delight in the higher power in a new place. I do believe that what we know will cease to exist and be replaced with the truth. It may not even be as I nor you perceive it because we can only grasp so little of the spirit world with our human minds and eyes.
Its been a path that has taken me to different states of mind and at times I do question my sanity. I do doubt the things that I see because it's not "normal" to be that aware. We live in an egotistical world that is fueled by power and classes so it's unacceptable to know anything more than big business. Get real! I watch the news and I see the terror going on and the re-occurring issues in the world and I just feel awful. I wish at times that the world would be more awakened as a whole. I then, go and pray for the positive changes to manifest in the world.
On a more interpersonal level I am constantly in a state of introspection. Sometimes when my spirituality takes a hold and my spirit is thriving I can be in a state of bliss for days. The colors of the plants and trees seem to illuminate. The sounds of the earth echoes the universal understanding of an earthly balance. It's those things that gets "it" and we are the ones (humans) that don't. It has to be the fact that we are blessed with the ability to understand. It's like a secret locked within us that we chisel at to get answers.
Why does it take for something tragic to happen for us to wake up? At least, in my case it didn't have to be so tragic, but when I found my well of spiritual abundance I was in a dark state of mind. I felt impending doom for days upon days and I couldn't understand why. It led me into a state of insomnia and depression. I was living in fear of leaving my home. The only way I could find some peace was by writing.
I would bare my soul on paper for hours. I would even find myself talking in quotes or have wisdom beyond my years that would flow so natural. When I finally was able to leave that dark state I entered into another where I didn't know how to channel the voice of God. I knew we had a connection, but wasn't sure how I could be able to speak to him as he spoke to me. It took up until now for me to be able to fully connect to him.
Around a year ago, the angelic presences started to happen. I would smell a scent that wasn't present, feel a cool breeze, or a warm touch around my body. I was alarmed and would look around for some logical explanation, but couldn't find any. It was kind of hard to tell friends or family members because again it wasn't a norm. So I kept it hidden for awhile and just relish with the fact that I had angelic presences that protected me. Usually, I would feel them at home, but one day I remember feeling them at work.
It was funny because I jumped slightly, but no one noticed. It gave me a reassurance that I wasn't alone and that God or the Higher Power, as I like to refer to the greatest entity, was proud of me. Once you open up to the vibration of a higher consciousness and realize that you are one with everything that occurs on Earth and in the Universe it is a wonderful feeling. You are then blessed with a gratefulness and a thirst for understanding. I felt chosen by the Universe to do great things. I'm not claiming that I am special, but I am rather humble to have reached a state of awakening at such a young age and it will strengthen over time.
Now, it isn't an easy path to go down because you are aware and accountable for your actions. You see from more than your perspective so you can't approach life in a brash manner. This path leads to compassion, redemption, love, and understanding. Trust that there are times when you want to give up or feel that what your gaining from the spirit world is too intense for you to handle. That is all expected and accepted and you can choose the pace to enlightenment. Personally, there has been times when I felt overwhelmed by messages and I read an article online that said you could choose and let the spirit world know that its too much.
Its a learning experience and as you grow you will learn more ways to channel yourself. So don't fret when you don't get it right the first or hundredth time because you are given permission to fail at birth by being born human. It is our God given right to make mistakes as long as they lead you to source. We are not Gurus or Spiritual leaders by nature. There are some chosen ones, but for the rest of us it is a bit harder. Even those who are spiritual masters have failed and succeeded.
All that matters is a good heart and pure intentions of learning and sharing all you can, that is good, in the name of good for your time on Earth. We should live to encourage others to find their paths whether it be in an organized religion or a free based spiritual practice like metaphysics. It is good however, to read about different spiritual practices to help you identify with what is important to you. Take time to decode the similarities and differences. Look throughout early world civilizations and their connection with the Universe. It always amazes me how they looked to the stars for answers and ways to do things on Earth.
It's quite baffling when I hear of people who just believe in humanity. It's not possible for humanity to be of such greatness when we are actually fragile, weak, and eventually die. There has to be something greater that drives that force in us. It has to be something greater to have created this planet and universes beyond. Humanity can't take credit for that. I believe, as humans we are the highest level of shepherds to the earth. We actually can differentiate wrong from right and should tend to the Earth as it should be.
The Earth has a natural order that shows us what to do and all we have to do is be in sync with that order and life would prosper. Only when we tried to control the balance did things go haywire. Now, things have spiraled out of control and we have no idea of how to control it. It has now come a time when people are seeking more inside and figuring out a way to understand the chaos. Chaos is a part of the natural order, but it has taken on a new spin lately. Chaos is designed to bring about change. Its an upheaval that makes way for a new balance, but instead chaos is bringing more chaos.
Natural chaos would be a storm that rolls in from the sea. It pours down heavy on the earth and you hear loud roars of thunder and see bright spectacles of lightning. We may be frightened by the sound and sight, but it's good for the earth. The trees, plants, animals, and even us benefit from the abundance of rainfall. For that moment, we experienced chaos and afterwards we experienced change. I even understand the wars especially when the new world was found. Its like seeing through a kaleidoscope.
So how does one live while uncovering spiritual understanding? That's a question that each individual can answer. I can only speak from personal experience and I say at times I'm unsure of the answer. I then, focus on the things I can change and pray for the things I can't. I still struggle with my ego and my soul. Its hard being spiritual in a material world. The material world is so massive and bullying. It's where everyone goes for relief because it is where we identify with each other. It is what we humans have created so its like a safe haven. We know what everything is and where is everything is located. There is no room for questioning because all is obvious and logical.
It is good to partake in the material world because you don't live in a world alone. You have to interact with other people with different view points. Its a way to imply what you have learned on your journey. Your views and beliefs will be challenged and you can learn more from others. The best part of this journey is that it continues for the rest of your life. I am curious about what happens after this lifetime. I believe we all are even if we don't admit it.
Even so, its not what we will do in the next lifetime that will count. I believe in past lives and what you do in this lifetime will affect what will happen to you in your next life time. A breath given isn't a breath wasted so utilize this lifetime wisely and seek answers within and around. Blessed be on your journey to enlightenment.

Healing is a hard process in life. At some point or another we will come to a cross road that will force us to accept a situation and move on. Healing isn't a negative thing because you're shedding old ways for a new life. Only negative about it is if you are stubborn to change and refuse to accept that old ways no longer serves you. You should approach the healing process with an open mind knowing that whatever the universe puts your through is only to serve your greater good. The universe doesn't perceive pain the way we do. It just believes in balancing the ying and the yang.
There is a process to healing that I've experienced personally and I would like to share it with my readers. Remember that we are here to help each other reach enlightenment.
Process to Healing

I just finished with a metaphysical course on communication skills and it really opened my mind to alternative ways of communicating with people. Communication is vital to human existence and it has to be an internal skill first . We have to recognize our emotional flaws(defense mechanisms) and work on them before we challenge someone else's emotional behavior. A lot of how we react to situations are created during childhood. I am highly aware of that and as a future teacher, I always tell people that we are fostering future adults.
We don't forget that rejection from a teacher for an idea we thought was great. Nor, do we forget that scorning from our parents because we didn't live up to their expectations. So when we get older and those situations manifest again we react the same way we did before. We forget about being mindful and acknowledging that the other person has a reason as to why they reacted the way they did. I know personally that I can be very defensive. I blame it on the fact that I'm very passionate and when you hit a chord in an area that I'm sensitive to, I can explode!
I'm not violent, but my sense of hearing seems to fade and I look for flaws in your argument to prove you wrong. I'm naturally competitive so I must admit that I get a kick out of bursting someone's bubble. I listen only to a point of finding a hole in your defense when I feel I'm being attacked. It's a way to cope with vulnerability. I can't stand being vulnerable. It is highly uncomfortable being as I'm an aquarius and we are naturally detached people.
Not to say that I get a pass on emotions, but it does help with understanding how I view them. Now, I'm not like that all of the time. I am an empathetic listener too. I often step outside of my own emotions and judge from the other person's point of view. Even after I am done throwing a tantrum, I do come back down to Earth and see things from both perspectives. It's just during that time of heightened emotions I can't let someone see me as a weak person. That stemmed from childhood where I often felt overlooked.
It's important to see the other person's point of view. You don't necessarily have to agree with it, but you have to try to understand why that person reacted the way they did. We are all craving for the same needs in life. We all want love, acceptance ,and individuality to name a few. Speaking of individuality, it is actually a culprit in the art of communication. We have become a people of self. Everyone is looking out for their own needs to the point we have lost a sense of community. Like they say, "We can't find world peace until we have inner peace".
It is important that you work on your art of communication and that includes listening and verbalizing. Let's start with ways to improve your listening skills. No longer look for ways to prove your argument, but search for a common ground. Listen in a way that the person feels it's okay to share their emotions with you. That will in return make them want to listen to you as well because you respected how they felt. It removes the vulnerability from the conversation. No one feels that they are being attacked or judged.
Okay, with the art of communicating, expressing how you feel can be challenging. Not everyone is naturally comfortable with speaking about their emotions. Some people feel better with writing them out versus verbalizing them. You have to respect how one chooses to communicate. It's better to address your own faults in a situation oppose to blaming the other for the situation. By doing so, you reach a solution instead of a deepening into the conflict. Both parties get to work on themselves and when another situation comes up it's easier to address the issue.
Take a day and sit down with yourself. Ask yourself some questions like what is the source of your TRUE anger, Are you really mad that the person let you down or are you too co-dependent? When you look at things from an outside perspective it changes your outlook on life. We aren't meant to be mad beings who populate this beautiful planet. We are creatures of love and compassion. We have just been conditioned to be highly defensive and overly competitive to satisfy our fragile egos. If you check the media you'll see that its popularity has to deal with anger and flamboyant individuality. Look at those so-called reality t.v. shows and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
I'm always one to promote meditation as its the best place to be in times of turmoil. It's good to surround yourself in whitelight and pray for the other(s). Don't keep that negative energy harboring inside or let it get between you and a precious bond. Anger should be acknowledged then released. That way you pave way for healing. Release those old defense mechanisms back into the universe to be recycled into something good.
I recommend studying Carl Jung's, Shadow Self. There's a good meditation on it by Christine Breese and it helps turn your negative traits into positive traits. Remember that we are put on this Earth to grow. Do not develop spiritual stagnation by refusing to do so. You are withholding a life of beauty that God has created for you. Once you release and receive the lesson you are now free to live a better life.

When you think of creativity, what comes to mind? Usually, it's something dealing with the arts. We only associate those who can do things that we deem amazing as the ones who are blessed with creative talents. We wouldn't once consider a scientist as the creative type. Nor would we consider a social reformer as one either. Well, both are actually a form of creativity. Creativity isn't dazzling though it can be artistic.
The true meaning of creativity is going against the grain and coming up with an uncommon solution that works. Einstein, can be dubbed as a creative person. He created the theory of relativity. Those who fought during the civil rights like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr, are creative types too. During those times things were done a certain way for over a hundred years. They saw that what was happening wasn't going to uplift the world in any way. So they took to the world as trailblazers and paved a new path of thinking.
When you are the creative type you are going to "ruffle feathers" in people. That definitely comes with the territory because people don't like to change into the unknown. It's scary and it's a chance that it won't work so we stick to our comfort zones in some area of life. It's not to say that all people are like that because if they were than we wouldn't have any change in the world. We seem to forget that what once was new is now old. Meaning that everything has a beginning and an ending.
We must have an imagination to dream up the next big thing. All things start in the mind and it's up to your creativity to bring it to life. A simple idea like a conventional straw to a bendy straw was a creative idea. It might not be as creative as an invention of a blimp. but it changed the straw industry. Now, we have swirly straws and straws with animated characters. So never be scared to dream up something that challenges your own thinking.
It would be rude to hide something amazing from the world because we are always ready for something amazing to happen. There are ways to unlock your creativity if your not sure of your gifts. It's not always going to appear easily to you. I remember a time when I was going through a hard transition in life and I found salvation in writing. It spiraled into quotes and short stories that I share in Expressive Corner. The actual building of this website came to me out of the blue.
I knew I had an interest in the creating of one, but never imagined myself having one. When you are at your creative best, things are fun to do. It's your PASSION and it doesn't feel like work. That is your soul at it's best. Not all creative talents emerge out of struggles. You could be actually doing something creative and not even know it. It's good to meditate and tune out the world.
I'm confident in the belief that if you ask the universe for help it will give it to you. Don't forget that we don't live in this world alone so enlist the help of a friend. Ask them what you are good at doing. They might see things in you that you don't see in yourself. Then. think to yourself about what makes you happy. We aren't all meant to follow the beaten path.
We are meant to follow a path that is true blue to us! If your creativity isn't getting through to some then, oh well. That's not the group that is meant to understand your outlook. You have to mingle with those who get you. Then, take it back to those who don't because eventually they will get it too. I think of inventors and how they come up with ideas then submit them only to be rejected. Soon after or a lot later, someone comes along who like their idea and the world goes crazy for it. Timing is of the essence with everything you do in life.
That's why it is good to know what you are good at. It's much easier to recognize opportunities that are custom made for you. No one else will get what God has in stored for you, I promise. It might take longer because what is planned for you is greater than your imagination. In the mean time and in between time, you should always continue to work on you and build your skills that you were born with. That's why it's natural for some to do things and not for others. We are all gifted to some extent.
Don't get jealous of what others do in life because that is for their path and not yours. The journey through life with creativity is exciting because you amaze yourself. You realize just how powerful it is to be a human. Then again, to have a soul inside of your physical. Let it guide you to your gifts and lead you to happiness. Blessed Be.
Okay, so one day I was sitting in front of my PC and I was on some spiritual site watching testimonials. There was one that stuck out to me and made me cry. There was this teenage boy who had Down Syndrome, but still believed in God. He knew that he couldn't change his circumstances, yet looked to God to help him heal his relationship with his parents. That made me think about change and how we apply it to life.
Now, let's look deeper into the underlying meaning of what he said. He has a medical condition in which he accepts, but still he looks to change the things that he CAN. That made me think of how us who are healthy are "prisoners of change". We get so caught up in wanting to change things that we don't. We become that disease like Down Syndrome. We look in the mirror and say that we aren't perfect then go into a pity party.
I will say I do believe in a "3 Day Pity Party". The first day, you realize what happened to you. The second day, you accept what happened to you and the third day, you work on changing what happened to you. There was another situation where I was on the bus and a lady got on who had a rather serious medical condition. There were moles on her body and her face was severely distorted. Even so, she had a nice dress on and her hair was nicely done.
She also chose to accept what she couldn't change and change what she could. Now, how come those people could cope with acceptance and change while we can't? Do we have to lose the ability to see, to know that the sky is beautiful? Do we have to experience a heart attack to know we are loved? It shouldn't take drastic changes for us to keep going in life. There are some who do start to go through with the changing process, but get stuck in the hard part.
Yes, you did decide to change, but the hardest part is where the change begins. It's in that transformation that everything is born. One thing I will point out is that no path is the same. It is so egotistical to compare yourself to others because that stunts your growth. By being envious and jealous it only leads you deeper into the imprisonment of change. Also remember everything takes time to change and its a journey to achievement. Try for once to give yourself sweet compliments.
It's fine to not be perfect. In fact being imperfect is something I prefer because it adds meaning to your life. I remember back when I was going through a phase in 2009 and was a "prisoner of change". I was so stuck in my ways and not seeing the change I envisioned that it angered me. Then, by the grace of God, I started to pray and believe in my prayer. After that, I started to notice talents within myself. I developed a better ability to write and create in general.
Sometimes I would create something and amaze myself. That was the breaking of the chains of change. I then, became a trailblazer and no longer feared my path. It was in that time that I became equipped with new tools for my new life. The universe will often put the right opportunities in your face whether you see it that way or not. People don't view bad situations as good lessons.
God might put the negative image of you to face yourself. For example, you can want to change your rude ways and encounter a rude person. By seeing how obnoxious it is to be rude it might change your outlook on that quality within you. It's all a part of becoming a better you. Don't forget to have fun with your changes because you might fall short of your expectations. Its fine as long as you don't fall back into old habits fully. Continuously strive to become the change that you seek. Now, follow these simple directions and good luck with change!
